Smells like ... MY BUTT
I think that my 'proxy' couldn't have covered the issue any better. If you haven't read about it, just scroll down a bit..
Addictions. They grip our world. But there is one that has been giving me the FREAKING irrits for years now.
See, I work in an office two days a week. Some would say thats not enough. I say thats too many. While I really enjoy the people I work with, there's one EXTRA work entity I wish wasn't around.
COFFEE...
Yeah that vile, disgusting, smelling like smelting tar on a road, concoction. It gets talked about more than anything else in this office. People wanting it, people wanting change to buy it, people arranging to go on runs to get it, people complaining they dont have it, people telling everyone how much they like it when they're drinking it...man IT'S a FREAKING DRINK for goodness sake!!!
And don't get me onto the my wonderful second country of Canada. That place is completely under its addiction...
If you people out there enjoy it, good for you. But please don't talk about it like its the second coming. It's a drink...really simple. You'll eventually pee it out...its really not that great.
And you know what else? It stinks and your teeth look like crap after it.
Ahhh...and I've finished my rant..

Nice to see you blogging again. I've missed you! I'm with you - COFFEE - YUCK! There was a stage in my life where I thought I was meant to drink cause everyone else did and I would force cupfuls of it donwn my throat. No more. I am a coffee free woman (although does iced coffee count!?)

Yeah...I know what you're saying. I work at Starbucks as a supervisor now, but every time I work I see people who need their coffee in the mornings. If only they knew that an apple in the morning will wake them up just as easily. But then you find those people who see coffee as a real art, like wine in France, except its coffee. Its like dessert after a meal, or a special occasion.
Personally, I don't drink coffee even though I work there. It does stain your teeth and I don't want my body to get used to using caffeine to keep me awake. Instead, I drink iced tea. or White hot chocolates...mmm...
Take care

Hahaha, here I am, sitting at my desk in my office, sipping on a cup of brewed coffee and what do I have to put up with!?? Matt's rants and raves about how bad the stuff is! I have become a coffee snob. I know when a cofee is good, when a coffee is bad. A lot of my favourite things to do revolves around coffee. Meeting up with friends on a Saturday morning to hang out and chat about life and muses. Walking down to grab a coffee before coming back to the cricket oval on a Saturday afternoon and watching my boyfriend 'do his thing', sitting at home on a weeknight with my parents or Stuart and relaxing. I LOVE COFFEE!!! GOD BLESS BRAZIL! (Brazil?)

I am right there with you Bethy, I will admit i am an addict, and enjoy every minute of it! I love the smell, i love the taste, i love the wake up, i need the wake up, and the love the social side to it. The coffee culture in Melbourne is one of my favourite things about coming home, i say suck it up matt and enjoy to appreciate the finer things in life! lol.
