Making the Priceless

There's some things in life that you can't pay for.

Some feelings that happen and just lift you up.

I've just spent a great weekend away at a Music camp for kids aged 8-15.
And While it indeed was tiring (never asleep before midnight), I really had the blessing of God in some of the events that transpired.

One thing I love in my life is making others feel better. Its just inherently part of my nature (sometimes to my own detriment, but that's another blog). When I see people upset I have this massive urge in myself to do whatever I can to make others feel better. :)

Like on camp we had a number of physical injuries specially one really nice little girl. She had previous been kicked in the leg (by a horse on her birthday of all days) and came to camp needing a walker to get around, but It didn't let it stop her. But on the last night, during rehearsal she got hit and had to sit out a bit. She was upset, and I just went up to her and made some stupid face and seeing her smile just, really just hit me.

There was the also the myriad (man I'm just chucking in the random words this time) of kids that once they learnt my name would just random yell out, "Hey Matt" when they would run past.

There were also little things, like seeing one of your mates sound asleep because they were soo tired and they needed it or seeing another happy to being given the leadership and responsibility and growing through that

So yeah I'm a bit of a sensitive guy (or sap as some people say), but to feel things is a blessing.

So in your last week, what feelings like these have you experienced??

I made people laugh over the weekend - although it wasn't really me that did it, some weird character that some friends made me do...

It feels good when you make people laugh.

Keep spreading the cheer!

Matt, you totally have a gift for making people cheer up and laugh. You made me laugh so much over the weekend and camp was all the better cause you were there.

After thinking about it for all of 2 minutes, I've come up with one.

In songster practice, at Glenroy, on Tuesday night when we were singing the song for missionary/owsoms Sunday. There's a verse that one of the guys *cough*Simon*cough* sings as a solo. The words really hit me and it really sent shivers down my spine. He meant what he was singing, it was cool. Now hopefully it will be that good when we sing it that Sunday.
