Buckets 4 All
What is the meaning of Liff?
Ever read something that made no sense? welfi dadss nsjos dahe joksos. Well now you have! Anyways not to get completely of topic, I bought a shirt just before I left home (Australia) and it looks like a news paper. The amount of interest I have had from people wanting to read it is phenomenal, and apart from the possible marketing/evangelical ploys that could be used, it is actually a cool shirt. The funny bit is that none of it makes sense, the sentences are complete gibberish.
Example. - From my forearm -
"He said his association wearing the first plane remained a for-making for her"
The problem with this is, this is how I talk sometimes. Most of my close friends both in Canadia and The Big Oz, know that sometimes I can make completely no sense out of what I say (kinda just like this sentence).
So I'm kinda explain/introducing (still) about who I am and how I blog. My brain is seriously just screaming along at a phenomenal rate and I have to really stop to talk, which i'm slowly to learn how to do, but well if you ever don't understand anything I say, be it written or in person, just tell me to slow down.
Hmm that was kinda a downer of a blog huh? Well how about this, from now on each blog is going to be ended with a new word for all of your vocabulary. My source -
"The Meaning of Liff" - Have a read sometime
Today's Blog has brought to you by the word
ABILENE (adj.)
Descriptive of the pleasing coolness on the reverse side of the pillow. You know you love a good abilene, I do, but that may be another blog ;)
BUCKET BOY!!
Yes, after taking advice, I'd like to introduce

BUCKET BOY!
And in honor of Strong bad, all i need now is a bull horn
but am going to lay some sweet beats
Ever heard about the one with the Baby and the Bucket
Okay, I guess there is some explaining for me to do. A lot of you out there, (7 of you now, up from 5) are probably wondering why my blog is called Buckets4All. Why buckets? And why should we all have one, or atleast have knowledge of the bucket.
Cue story....
I live in Regent Park, Toronto. For all my oz mates, it’s something like the public housing in Carlton/Collingwood. I work with a lot of kids and well it happened one day that I was teaching a bunch of 5-7yr olds. I was given the Christmas story to tell, you know, Joes, Mares, Bubs and the whole crew.
Anyways I got to the manger part, and they were like, “What’s a manger???" hmm I tried to change it around, "how about trough?" They still did not understanding. So my weird brain process ended up blurting out, "it’s like a bucket, you know how animals eat out of a bucket, and well Jesus was laid into something like that, something like a bucket."
My mentor, John, heard about my referral of Jesus lying in a Bucket, and proceeded to use it as he preached on Sunday. After a lot of laughs and me owning up to the comment I am now known as the Bucket King.
But it could be worse I get, Bucket is a pretty funny word, just say it a few times, and listen to it.. Bucket... Baaaa Kettttt..... Bucket..
Anyways the reason I want "Buckets for all", is because I want everyone to know of the Story of the Babe in a Bucket. Because that Babe gave us the Greatest Gift in the World, the gift of Salvation and Communication with God. Who wouldn't want a way to talk with the Most High God?
So as usual my brain has taken something silly and made something good out of it, or maybe taken something good and made something silly out of it. Oh well, I just hope you will never look at a bucket in the same way again.
oh and its Bucket, not Bouqet
Nobody's perfect, there was this one guy, but we killed him
So anyways, i'm still kinda on my introductory kick, just explaining who I amwhich, I hope, will give you a little more insight into my thought process. (as weird as it will seem)
I was born in a Christian Home, well I was actually born in a hospital, but anyways, I was raised in a Christian Home. My Parents were (and still are) part of the Salvation Army. Yes, for all those people out there who don't know, the Salvation Army is a Christian church, just like the Baptists, Anglicans etc.
Salvation Army was born out of the Methodist Movement, and its initial Focus was Social Justice, looking out for the Poor and Marginalized. While its focus may have shifted over time, it still is deeply ingrained with Social Justice.
So everyone mostly knows (in Australia atleast) that the Salvation Army is a welfare organisation but most people never asked why. Well it is because we are originally a Church, a Christian Church, and because of that we are called to be like Jesus (or Jebus for all you Simpsons fans out there) and Jesus helped the poor and marginalized, hence why we do.
So what i'm trying to explain, is who i am. I'm a christian, i'm trying to be like the only perfect person to ever walk this planet, (thats Jesus if u didn't know) and the key word in that sentance is trying. Just because I'm a christian doesn't mean I'm perfect and I don't expect everyone else to be, but I'm trying to do my best, so give me some slack, as i will give it back.
So if I do go all religious on you, now and again, that is why.
Why is such a great word isn't it!
An Account of Opinions
hmmm where to start?
People used to say there was only ever 2 things in life that were certanties. Death and Taxes. I've always believed that there is a third. Opinions. Like no matter where we go, we will always hear them. Heck, you're reading one right now.
And well to me i think blogs overuse them. They're blown out of proportion; people think that their opinion is going to change the world. That they will start a blog that all their friends will read and will really impact them to change their lives. well thats not my plan.
From this point on, I am planning to blog on the most random of events in my life and hopefully find some humor in them all. I won't be about opinions, but i will drop some in now and then because its just human nature.
And i kinda want to ask you all, (all 5 of u) to keep me accountable. If i say something, and you don't agree with it, comment, or drop me a line. I'm more than willing to say im wrong. Or if you find something i write funny, be it for a intentional or unintentional reason, or if u find it way too lame, tell me
I believe in two way communication. My Mum (u know you're out there) has drilled the practice of listening into me, so i plan to do that for any comments thrown my way.
So anyways i guess thats my blog, well the start of it, I think its pretty good so far.
But thats only my opinion.
