Love on a Corner

Ever thought of picking up some love on a corner, I'm actually not meaning this the way you think. As I said in the previous blog, I'm currently in bermuda, and i've seen some sites, one of my favourite is this guy.

My Photo

The story behind this fellow is a really cool one, from about 8-11 every morning he stands on the corner of the main road into Hamilton, (Capital of Bermuda) and proceeds to blow kisses and tell everyone who comes pass that he loves them. He's such a sight but his love for the people was huge.

His story is that he used to be a public servant and just decided there wasn't enough love in the world, so he retired, and every day he took it on himself to greet people. And he became such an institution the government now pays him to do it. I'd love to see his job description, "Makes love to many people everyday", not a hard job, sorry couldn't resist that joke.

But I guess this really is showing God's kind of love, one that would give up everything just to bring love to the world. Very Jesus like though.

And well he is very much an inspiration and a motivator, because well if I can show even a little bit of that love, I would be happy.

So i guess no question this time, but well a call, to love more selfless and i guess more publicly too

That is definitly very very cool! Not something you get to see every day! But very inspiring and encouraging to know that there are such beautiful souls like that out there..living their lives out so selflessly! And it is definitly a challenge to how much love we show others in our own lives!!

Glad Bermuda is going so well!

He's an awesome guy, he's hilarious, the way he just waves his hands and just wishes everyone a great day and tells them that he loves them,

Funny moment, he got on the bus and he's so well known that the bus driver just went off his route to drop him where he needed to go, classic bermudan culture

Matt, how do you make your links in a different colour. When you do yours, the white really stands out. On mine it's just a darker blue....
