Okay, I guess there is some explaining for me to do. A lot of you out there, (7 of you now, up from 5) are probably wondering why my blog is called Buckets4All. Why buckets? And why should we all have one, or atleast have knowledge of the bucket.
Cue story....
I live in Regent Park, Toronto. For all my oz mates, it’s something like the public housing in Carlton/Collingwood. I work with a lot of kids and well it happened one day that I was teaching a bunch of 5-7yr olds. I was given the Christmas story to tell, you know, Joes, Mares, Bubs and the whole crew.
Anyways I got to the manger part, and they were like, “What’s a manger???" hmm I tried to change it around, "how about trough?" They still did not understanding. So my weird brain process ended up blurting out, "it’s like a bucket, you know how animals eat out of a bucket, and well Jesus was laid into something like that, something like a bucket."
My mentor, John, heard about my referral of Jesus lying in a Bucket, and proceeded to use it as he preached on Sunday. After a lot of laughs and me owning up to the comment I am now known as the Bucket King.
But it could be worse I get, Bucket is a pretty funny word, just say it a few times, and listen to it.. Bucket... Baaaa Kettttt..... Bucket..
Anyways the reason I want "Buckets for all", is because I want everyone to know of the Story of the Babe in a Bucket. Because that Babe gave us the Greatest Gift in the World, the gift of Salvation and Communication with God. Who wouldn't want a way to talk with the Most High God?
So as usual my brain has taken something silly and made something good out of it, or maybe taken something good and made something silly out of it. Oh well, I just hope you will never look at a bucket in the same way again.
oh and its Bucket, not Bouqet

I think Bucket Boy sounds funnier than Bucket King...that's just too close to Burger King.
Bucket Boy sounds more like a superhero. Bringing buckets to the nations :)
